About Us
Bullpen Picks gives you a real-time view into two active trading portfolios—nothing staged, nothing manufactured. We’re not a stock-picking service. We’re not trying to hit a quota of alerts to keep subscribers happy. We’re just trading. Every alert you receive is pulled directly from our personal journals, showing exactly what we’re doing with our own capital, in real time.
This is an important distinction. Most alert services build their model around volume—constantly hunting for new trades to send out, even if the setup isn’t ideal. That creates pressure to be active, not accurate. And in trading, that’s a dangerous game. Chasing trades to look busy leads to lower-quality decisions, unnecessary risk, and worse overall performance.
We refuse to operate that way. Our journals aren’t curated for you—they’re real. Every trade you see is something we actually took, whether it’s a conservative premium sell or a fast, high-conviction swing. We log it, track it, and if it opens or closes, you get one clean alert with all the key details. That’s it. No fluff, no noise, no signals for the sake of signaling.
You’re not here to be told what to do—you’re here to see how we trade. You can follow along, take notes, or mirror the positions if they align with your style. But most importantly, you can trust that everything you’re seeing is authentic. Our only goal is to trade well—and bring you along for the ride.

The platform includes two distinct portfolios: Value Vault and Sweet Swings. Each reflects a different style—but both are based on conviction, control, and purpose.
We aren’t locked into categories. Sometimes a Sweet Swings trade looks more like a Value Vault trade and vice versa. These journals reflect how we naturally approach the market—but we stay flexible, and we take trades across a range of setups when they meet our standards.
The Value Vault
From Sean Spurlock
The Value Vault is built on fundamental research and identifying discrepancies between fair value estimates and current stock prices. In the short term, the market is a voting machine. In the long term, it is a weighing machine. The Value Vault portfolio focuses on buying stocks that are undervalued and trading them back up to a fair value. The primary strategy involves selling premium—puts and covered calls—on names Sean is comfortable owning. It’s about identifying real businesses with staying power and using options to generate consistent income while keeping risk defined. This approach leans on patience and fundamentals, not hype or volatility. It’s steady, focused, and conservatively biased.
Sweet Swings
From Seth Spurlock
Seth’s approach is centered on staying light, fast, and flexible. The Sweet Swings portfolio is designed to keep buying power available and avoid the risk of being stuck in long, drawn-out trades. It focuses on clean setups with clear structure—opportunities that can play out over a few days or sometimes just a few hours. This method reduces exposure to broader market risk and keeps capital free to move. The goal isn’t to trade constantly—it’s to stay selective and take action when the timing and reward make sense. It’s technical, efficient, and built to stay out of the chop.
